conference Speakers
Pastor Andrea Y. Choate
Pastor Andrea Choate is the Senior Pastor and co-founder of NEP House of Praise Ministries in Manchester, New Hampshire, which she and her husband, Pastor Mark Choate, pioneered in 2015.
She is a foundational leader who helped establish what is noted as Manchester, NH's first African/American church. With over 30 years of ministry experience, Pastor Andrea's background includes serving as Vice President of Children's Church Ministries for NEPM, President of Women of One Faith's Mother/Daughter Committee, and a Board Member for King's Kids Childcare Center.
Her ministry is driven by a focus on spiritual growth, effective outreach, and strategic business development to support the church's mission. She and Pastor Mark have been married for over 34 years, and they credit their faith for raising four resilient adult children and two grandchildren with core values of Love, Respect, and belonging.
Kyrsten Smith
Kyrsten Smith, originally from the New Orleans area, has a lifelong commitment to faith and community service, rooted in her upbringing in the COGIC church. She was baptized as a youth at New Hope Community Church in Kenner, LA under the leadership of Reverend Mark B. Mitchell. She was an active youth leader, she sang in the praise team, mentored peers, & also co-lead the Mother/Daughter (MADEAR) ministry with her mother Letitia Mack-Jones, which has recently been revived into a podcast.
While in college, in Lafayette, LA, Kyrsten served as a mentor for SIHLE, an empowerment program which targeted African American teen girls & taught them how to improve communication, self-esteem, & promoting health. Kyrsten met the love of her life, together they have been blessed with 2 sons. Kyrsten’s life brought her to live in Dallas, TX where she became a member of The Potter’s House and learned more of the goodness of God. She is now at NEP House of Praise, where she serves in the Praise & Worship Ministry and actively supports the church's mission to uplift the local community.
